How to book an appointment
Phone 03 9489 1509 or email us on sydneyjohnstone1@gmail.com and I will return your call during office hours Monday to Friday to ask some brief questions and also to ensure that you are engaging the best clinician for your concern.
Once the appointment is confirmed you will be sent a reminder text message up to 48 hours prior to and also on the morning of the appointment.
Online Consultations:
On the day of consultation you will receive an email with an invitation to join a meeting 10 minutes before the consultation begins; click on this link.
If you want to claim the Medicare rebate you will require a referral
Contact your doctor’s clinic to organise an ‘extended’ appointment for a Mental Health Care Plan. This plan entitles you to up to 20 Medicare supported consultations each calendar year (rebate = $137.05).
FEES
Full Fee: You pay – $132.95 gap fee ( + Medicare rebate of $137.05 = Total fee $270. For Individuals with stable income including retirees supported by superannuation, and students supported by parents.).
Low Income Fee: You pay – $62.95 gap fee (+ Medicare rebate of $137.05 = Total fee $200. Offered for people with low income or students.).
We do ‘somewhat’ Bulk Bill clients experiencing financial difficulty. We charge a small gap fee. You pay – $2.95 (+ Medicare rebate of $137.05 = Total fee $140.00. This small gap fee is to obviate the unreasonable amount of paperwork required by Medicare to process Bulk Billing claims.).
Some Private Health funds will cover 100% of the full fee but every health fund differs and please ensure that you specify ‘Clinical Psychology’.
Payment
An encrypted SMS or email payment link will be sent with the appointment reminder. The Medicare Receipt will be sent immediately following payment. You can quickly reclaim $137.05 using the ‘Medicare Express Plus’ app.
International Clients
We offer consultations for $300 USD.
The time difference typically works in a positive way as most people prefer to be seen out of work hours, which is most likely my work day. I am in Melbourne, Victoria which is Australian Eastern Standard Time ( AEST )
